Manuel Antonio National Park

Length of Tour: Full day.

Poas Volcano & Coffee Tour

Length Tour: Full day.
LOCATION: Alajuela province, 2 hours’ drive from Jaco.

This crater volcano is one of the four active volcanoes in Costa Rica. Poás is active, but don't expect to see a full-fledged eruption or even any lava flow here—the most recent period of eruptive activity ended in 1954. The last major activity was in 1910 when nearly a million tons of ashes were ejected along with an immense column of smoke and steam.

Afterwards, we begin our journey back to Jaco, stopping at a coffee plantation where you can see step by step, from bean to brew, how coffee is made and taste some of the most rich Arabic Coffee the world has to offer! This full-day experience is sure to please everyone in the group.

Arenal Volcano

Length Tour: Full day.
LOCATION: North of Alajuela province, 3 hours’ drive from Jaco.

The Arenal Volcano tour transports guests to the active northwest side of the volcano. The tour begins with a hike, and depending upon which side of the volcano the lava is flowing, we go either to the trail “Los Tucanes” at the National Park or Mirador El Silencio. It is possible to observe a great variety of plants, wildlife, magnificent lava rock formations, and the Arenal Lake just in time for sunset! During the tour, our experienced guides will provide interesting and educational information regarding the history of the majestic mountain and the Arenal Volcano National Park.

The tour includes a relaxing stop at the mineral hot springs. Where, with a bit of luck, you can see the flowing lava of Costa Rica’s most active volcano. This stunning experience is followed by a relaxing soak in the nearby hot springs with pools of various water temperatures, a perfect view of having a perfect perspective to see the lava flow from Arenal Volcano… straight ahead… from the treetops!.

Carara Biological

Length Tour: Half day.
LOCATION: 20 min. drive from Jaco.

This reserve is at a crucial meeting point between the dry tropical forests to the north and the wet rain forests to the south, which means that it’s possible to see strangler figs and deciduous kapok trees alongside acacias and cacti. Since the park is surrounded by ecosystems land, it forms a necessary oasis for all the wildlife inhabiting the transitional zone. Over 400 different species of birds inhabit the reserve, though your chances of spotting rarer species will be greatly enhanced with the help of an experienced guide.
